Developed as part of the Sustainable Investments Call of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, the industrial investment plan for the digitalization of production will bring the company into the future
We are pleased to present IBS Moulding 4.0, the industrial investment plan for the digitization of production, started in May 2022 with the aim of optimizing and digitizing the company’s production, and at the same time reducing the environmental impact through more efficient resource management.
This is an unprecedented industrial plan in the history of the company, which operates on several fronts.
A new headquarters – The heart of the project is the relocation of the company’s activity, previously located in three different units, in a single innovative, efficient and technological hub in the municipality of Novedrate, in the province of Como. A choice of rationalization, but also of social responsibility towards the territory, through the reduction of environmental impact.
New technologies – The creation of this unique interconnected production site that, through technologies such as AI, IoT, Cloud and Analytics in the production lines, will make it possible to plan, control and optimize the entire process, represents the key objective of the investment. The realization of the works necessary for the renovation of the area acquired in 2021, the installation of new systems and the adoption of new management software are the steps that will lead to the achievement of the objectives of the project.
IBS Moulding 4.0 is developed as part of the Sustainable Investments 4.0 Call to support SMEs (Decree of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development of 10 February 2022 | Directorial Decree of 12 April 2022) and funded under the Union’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The benefits, granted in favor of the technological and digital transformation of the company and the overcoming of the economic slowdown caused by the pandemic crisis, are disbursed in the form of a contribution to the plant facilities and granted to IBS Moulding from the resources of the “REACT-EU” initiative destined to Priority Axis VI of the National Operational Program “Enterprises and competitiveness” 2014-2020.
